Woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

A THORNTON man is fighting for his life in hospital following a stabbing incident this morning.
The man sustained serious injuries at a house on Ascot Road, Thornton shortly before 9am.

A 56-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police are still trying to discover exactly what happened during the incident and are currently making enquries at the scene.

It is not yet known what type of weapon was used during the incident.
